Achieva Credit Union is excited to announce Lucy’s Paws & Play Summer Adventure Photo Contest! We are celebrating the absolute best of dog summer moments. We want to see how your pup thrives in the great outdoors.
By sharing your favorite dog adventure photo, you could win $500 cash for yourself, plus a $2,500 donation to your local county’s Humane Society. This helps other shelter dogs find their forever homes.
Remembering Lucy: A Life Full of Adventure
This special contest is inspired by a very special dog named Lucy. She was adopted from the Humane Society of Tampa. Despite the skin issues she had Lucy was given a second chance at life. She made every single moment count.
Lucy absolutely lived for adventure. She loved car rides, family vacations, and especially watching the sunset at the dog beach on Honeymoon Island in Dunedin. Her family will always remember her chasing her favorite bright orange and blue ball down the shoreline and leaping into the waves. All against Surrounded by the beauty of a glowing gold, purple, and pink sky. Whether she was hiking the Tennessee mountains, (with a mandatory fun stop at Buc-ee’s!), swimming in the big pool, in the yard, or just splashing in a kiddie pool at the local dog park, Lucy’s spirit was defined by joy and play.
Sadly, Lucy passed away from lymphoma on January 26, 2026. In honor of her beautiful legacy and her love for the summer season, Achieva Credit Union is hosting this contest to give back to the organizations that rescue dogs just like Lucy every single day.
What You Can Win
We’re looking for the most heartwarming, fun, and original summer adventure photos featuring your dog(s). Here is what’s up for grabs:
- The Grand Prize: One lucky winner will receive a $500 gift card to fuel your own summer fun. AND Achieva Credit Union will donate $2,500 to your local county Humane Society on your behalf!
- Runner-Up Prizes: Three runner-up winners will each receive a $100 pet store gift card to spoil their furry friends.
Here’s How to Enter
Ready to show off your pup? Entering is easy! Just make sure to follow these steps between July 1st and July 31st, 2026:
- Follow Us: Follow Achieva Credit Union on Instagram at @AchievaCreditUnion (you must be a follower to be eligible to win!).
- Post Your Photo: Upload an original, unaltered photo of your dog(s) enjoying a summer adventure to your public Instagram feed.
- Need inspiration? Think dogs chasing waves at sunset, swimming in a pool or safe waterway, camping under the stars, hiking a scenic nature trail, or just enjoying outdoor summer play!
- Tag Us: Tag @AchievaCreditUnion directly in the photo.
- Use the Hashtag: Include #LucysPawsandPlay in your caption.
- Tell Us Your Story: In the caption, tell us what summer adventure your dog is enjoying and the location. Include your dog’s name so we can cheer them on!
