July 4th Celebrations on Florida’s Gulf Coast

We love celebrating the vibrant communities that make Florida’s Gulf Coast such a wonderful place to call home. As we approach Independence Day, cities are gearing up for spectacular July 4 celebrations, parades, and fireworks and more!

To help you plan the perfect holiday with family and friends, we have rounded up the biggest and best local events happening right in your backyard. Grab your lawn chairs, pack your sunscreen, and get ready to celebrate right down the road from your local Achieva branch!

Naples Area July 4th Celebrations

  • Downtown Naples Independence Day Parade
    • Time: 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM
    • Location: New route starting at 3rd Street South and 5th Avenue South, ending at City Hall.
    • Details: A highly community-focused morning parade packed with red, white, and blue floats. It is perfect for families looking to celebrate before the afternoon heat rolls in.
  • City of Naples Fireworks
    • Time: 9:00 PM
    • Location: Viewable from all City of Naples beaches.
    • Details: A classic coastal experience. Because the Naples Pier is undergoing construction, fireworks are launching from an offshore barge, spreading spectators evenly along the shoreline.

Fort Myers & Cape Coral Area

  • Cape Coral Red, White & Boom
    • Time: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM
    • Location: Cape Coral Parkway (at the foot of the Cape Coral Bridge).
    • Details: As Southwest Florida’s largest single-day event, this massive festival features live national musical acts, a Freedom 5K run, and a fireworks finale.
  • Fort Myers Beach Parade & Fireworks
    • Time: 10:00 AM (Parade); 9:00 PM (Fireworks)
    • Location: Estero Boulevard and near the Fort Myers Beach Pier.
    • Details: A community celebration starting with a morning parade and concluding with spectacular fireworks shot right over the beachfront.

Port Charlotte & Punta Gorda Area

  • Fourth-Fest at Laishley Park
    • Time: 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
    • Location: Laishley Park Municipal Marina, Punta Gorda.
    • Details: Free general admission to a family-centered day featuring “Water-Mania” with 12 giant waterslides, a full bar, food trucks, and live country music leading up to the 9:00 PM fireworks display.

Sarasota & Manatee Counties

  • Sarasota Bayfront Park Fireworks
    • Time: 9:00 PM
    • Location: Bayfront Park, Downtown Sarasota.
    • Details: The area’s marquee event, providing wide-open public viewing areas along the marina to watch the sky light up over Sarasota Bay.
  • Red, White & FOOD Truck Festival
    • Time: Holiday Weekend
    • Location: The Mall at UTC, Sarasota.
    • Details: A massive gathering of local food vendors, artisan booths, and family activities perfect for foodies who want to celebrate the holiday weekend early.

Hillsborough & Pinellas Counties

  • St. Pete Beach’s Red, White, and BBQ 4th of July Party + Fireworks
    • Time: 5:00 PM – 9:00PM
    • Location: Horan Park, 7701 Boca Ciega Dr, St. Pete Beach
    • Details: Celebrate the 4th in true Florida fashion on St. Pete Beach with a fun-filled day of family-friendly activities. BBQ competition, an inflatable obstacle course, a dunk tank, games, crafts, and a watermelon eating contest. Fireworks show at 9 pm.
  • Madeira Beach’s Red, White, and Blue on the Bay
    • Time: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM 
    • Location: ROC Park, 200 Rex Place, Madeira Beach
    • Details: This free, family-friendly event features live music, food, and retail vendors throughout the evening along Boca Ciega Bay. Bring your chairs and your friends for a festive night by the water, capped off with a spectacular fireworks show over the bay at 9 p.m.
  • Treasure Island 4th of July Fireworks
    • Time: 9:00 PM
    • Location: Gulf Front Park, 10400 Gulf Blvd, Treasure Island
    • Details: The show begins at 9 p.m., launching from the beach near Gulf Front Park. Bring a beach chair or towel and settle in for an unforgettable evening as fireworks reflect over the Gulf and close out the holiday in classic Treasure Island style.
    • The Fourth on the St. Pete Pier
      • Time: All Day
      • Location: St. Pete Pier, St. Petersburg.
      • Details: A giant festival featuring live music, food vendors, craft beer, a roaming water ski show, and a traditional night sky display right over the bay.
    • 4th of July Pops Spectacular 
      • Time: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
      • Location: 400 First St S (near the Mahaffey Theater)
      • Details: Live symphonic and patriotic music.
    • Gulfport 4th of July Celebration + Community Parade
      • Time: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
      • Location: Tomlinson Park, 1820 55th St.
      • Details: Gulfport’s Independence Day celebration kicks off at 9 a.m. with the opening of The Spirit of ’76 Half Century Time Capsule, commemorating the nation’s Bicentennial. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., head to Tomlinson Park for Family Fun Day, featuring kid-friendly entertainment and activities for all ages. The Community Parade begins at 11 a.m., bringing festive floats and hometown spirit through the streets of Gulfport. End the day with a spectacular fireworks display launching from Williams Pier at 9 p.m.
    • Largo’s Independence Day Celebration
      • Time: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
      • Location: Largo Central Park, 101 Central Park Dr, Largo
      • Details: An evening of live music, family fun, and one of the best fireworks displays in Pinellas County. Enjoy kid-friendly activities, craft stations, and a variety of food trucks before the night sky lights up with a spectacular fireworks show.
    • Dunedin’s Hometown USA Celebration
      • Time: 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM
      • Location: TD Ballpark, 373 Douglas Ave, Dunedin
      • Details: This event kicks off with the Dunedin Goes Carting patriotic golf cart parade, which travels through downtown Dunedin and ends at TD Ballpark. The celebration and festivities continue at the ballpark with a live band, an outdoor movie, fun games and activities, face painting, a photo booth, and a spectacular fireworks show to cap off the night.
    • Safety Harbor Independence Day Celebration
      • Time: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
      • Location: Safety Harbor City Park, 940 7th Street South, Safety Harbor
      • Details: Head to Safety Harbor City Park for live entertainment, food vendors, and children’s activities as the celebration continues. The night wraps up with a spectacular fireworks display over the waterfront at 9 p.m., closing out the holiday with a memorable Independence Day finale.
    • Clearwater Celebrates America
      • Time: July 3 & 4 | 5 PM – 11 PM
      • Location: Coachman Park, 300 Cleveland Street, Clearwater
      • Details: This two-day festival at Coachman Park is packed with patriotic fun for all ages. Enjoy live music, local food vendors, and kid-friendly activities throughout both days of the celebration. On Thursday, July 3, catch the dazzling laser show at 9:15 p.m., then return on July 4 for a spectacular fireworks display beginning at 9:15 p.m.
    • Tampa’s Liberty by the Bay
      • Time: Dusk
      • Location: Sparkman Wharf / Downtown Tampa Waterfront
      • Details: High-tech meets traditional. This waterfront show features family programming, local food, and a customized 250-drone light show alongside a synchronized fireworks finale.

    Tampa’s 4th of July

    Events feature waterfront celebrations, family-friendly museum fests, and live entertainment. Top highlights include:

    • July 4th Boat Parade & Water Ski Show: Watch decorated boats cruise the Tampa Riverwalk, followed by a water ski show. You can catch VIP viewing parties and outdoor entertainment nearby at venues like Jackson’s Bistro.
    • 4th of July Freedom Fest: Celebrate aboard the SS American Victory for a harbor view of the city’s fireworks, family-friendly decks, and historical exhibits at the American Victory Ship & Museum.
    • Stars, Stripes & Science: The MOSI Second Generation Moon Sycamore is hosting a daytime holiday event featuring live music, liquid nitrogen ice cream, and science demonstrations.
    • Celebrate! America 250 Concert: The Florida Wind Band is hosting a free, family-friendly indoor performance of patriotic classics at Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church.

    Pasco County

    • Pasco County Celebrates America 250th
      • Time: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
      • Location: Sunwest Park ($5 parking fee) 17362 Old Dixie Highway, Hudson
      • Details: Listen to live music (bring your own chair; please no coolers), various food trucks, fireworks (9:00 p.m.)
    • Scallop Music Fest & Fireworks (Hudson)
      • Time: Starts July 3rd Festivities kick off at 3:00 PM (Fireworks at 9:00 PM)
      • Location: SunWest Park (17362 Old Dixie Highway, Hudson, FL $5 parking)
      • Details: Pack your lawn chairs and head out to the park to enjoy live music, food trucks, vendors, and a beautiful fireworks display over the water.

    Pasco County Libraries are running the Star-Spangled Stories Summer Reading Quest through August 2nd. You can log your reading minutes on the Beanstack App to win prizes like a $100 gift card.

    Hernando County (Spring Hill & Brooksville Area)

    • Salute to America 250 Historic Celebration
      • Time: Afternoon through Evening
      • Location: Sand Hill Scout Reservation, Brooksville.
      • Details: Hernando County’s official government-backed event. It boasts the “Recruit Ridge Family Fun Zone,” historical exhibits on the Declaration of Independence, a fleet of food trucks, and a massive state-of-the-art fireworks and synchronized drone show finale.
    • Boat Parade and Veterans Celebration
      • Time: Starts at 12:00 PM
      • Location: Hernando Beach Yacht Club, Hernando Beach.
      • Details: A uniquely coastal day event. Spectators line the canals to watch a patriotic boat parade led by local charter boats. The venue features fresh BBQ, live music, and a silent auction benefitting the Florida Veterans Foundation.
    • Rev, White & Brew Festival
      • Time: 2:00 PM
      • Location: Lead Foot City, Brooksville
      • Details: This massive automotive event features drifting, car showcases, engine rev battles, a wrestling show, food trucks, multiple bars, and a fireworks display in the evening.
